Hyundai Bringing Heavy Truck Lines to Chinese Production Lines
Hyundai is planning to enter the lucrative heavy truck market in China with the creation of a new joint venture in China’s Sichuan province.
The new joint venture will be established as a 50:50 partnership with Sichuan Nanjun Automobile Group with the plant being based in Ziyun. The new truck company plans to go ahead against other international truck manufacturers such as Daimler whom have already established production facilities in China.
Hyundai and its new partner are aiming to sell 400,000 vehicles by 2020.
